The next Photo Fair will happen from November, 4th to 8th 2010, in Paris, Porte de Versailles
In 2011, the Salon de la Photo will occupy a larger area in response to the dynamism of the manufacturers of photographic equipment, which are constantly introducing new technological innovations to meet the requirements and changes in behavior brought about by new communication tools and social networks. Ever-more communicative devices, innovative and original printing solutions, tools with increasingly astonishing performance and quality - the equipment and services offerings are at once appealing and suited to the needs of all photographers, whether they be professionals, enthusiastic amateurs or even beginners.
A favorite forum for all photographers and brands, the Salon de la Photo is eagerly awaited by an increasing number of amateurs and professionals, keen to meet up each year.
A unique event where all components of photography cross and blend, where technology rubs shoulders with art and creativity, the Salon de la Photo is a place of technological discovery, shared experience and artistic browsing. A number of workshops and studios will enable photographers to share their know-how and exchange ideas and opinions. The Fair’s now-traditional Grandes Rencontres will enable visitors to listen to and interact with the great names of photography, supplementing and complementing the technical performance of the exhibitors.
The Salon de la Photo will also show its support for professional photography by presenting Salon de la Photo 's "Zooms" to two talented emerging photographers. One of these awards will go to a photographer chosen by public vote, and the other to a photographer selected by the specialist press. At a time when the authorities are having a negative impact on the work of our local photographers, the Salon de la Photo will remind the world that the metier of photographer is one that deserves respect and recognition.
